God Wants You

Image

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

– 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

God has chosen us and called us out of darkness so that we may be a people delighting in His wonderful light. What an honor it is for Him to choose us over everything else!

God’s Measure

God measures by heart, not by deeds

by sincerity, not by intelligence

by love

all because of GRACE.

The Happiest Feeling…

…is when God takes away something you dearly love…but your heart remains at peace.

“I give you peace, peace that you will never find in the world…”

                                                  —John 14:27

If My grace fills your heart, your heart may be broken, but your faith will not be shaken.

hard times

“You promised to be there when times get rough
You promised to stay by my side, when the going gets tough.”

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10 NIV

“you will cry for help, and He will say: Here Am I

What matters most…

“… the wisdom of the wise will pass away,

the intelligence of the intelligent will disappear

…heaven and earth will pass away,

but My words still remains.”

Living for others, you get hurt

Ever thought of living for God..?

brokenhearted

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalms 73:26 NIV

“Broken hearts are accepted by God, but He must have all the pieces”

“Lights will guide you home and ignite your bones and I will try to fix you.

Let him mend your broken heart.

Where were you?

Where were you when I needed you!?” i asked…                                                                                  …”What did you need me for?” He asked.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

-1 Corinthians 10:31

Sometimes we focus too much on what we want to happen and blame God for not helping us,

but if we just do what he wants, everything will fall in place

Grace Wins, Hands Down

Even at the face of oppression and death,

Christ still made every effort to say,

“Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.”

The Anvil of God’s Word

Last eve I paused beside the blacksmith’s door,
And heard the anvil ring the vesper chime;
Then looking in, I saw upon the floor,
Old hammers, worn with beating years of time.

“How many anvils have you had,” said I,
“To wear and batter all these hammers so?”
“Just one,” said he, and then with twinkling eye,
“The anvil wears the hammers out, you know.”

And so, I thought, the Anvil of God’s Word
For ages skeptic blows have beat upon;
Yet, though the noise of falling blows was heard,
The Anvil is unharmed, the hammers gone.

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”

Luke 21:33

Commonly attributed to John Clifford

The Worrier is a Child

“Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows; it empties today of its strength.”

—Corrie ten Boom

“If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion.

There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to Him than birds.

…People who don’t know God and the way He works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how He works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.”

—Matthew 6:25-33 (The Message)

We cannot even hold the universe like how the Creator Himself does, better stop holding onto our worries as if we can do much with them.

We are but a child, why not entrust everything to our Heavenly Father?
