Did You Mean It?

God is not asking Christians to pray more.

He’s urging us to pray more earnestly.

Sin: A Christian Perspective

Jesus, overhearing, shot back, “Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I’m here inviting the sin-sick, not the spiritually-fit.” – Mark 2:17

Sin is not the difference between Christians and those who are not; it is in fact the sameness between us. The commonality that binds us is our immorality towards God.

The difference is in the degree of perceiving it. For the closer you approach the Holy God the more you realize the degree of your unacceptability to Him. The closer you walk towards Him, the greater he reveals your greed, lust, malice, and self-adoration in your life.

Thus, when one realizes his inability to save himself, the need for a savior arises, and only when that need arises can we start being sanctified. And we are being sanctified we realize that sins is a struggle that is dealt with till the last breath.

Hence, we are beings that will ever be struggling but never accepting of sin, ever struggling and ever hoping until the time we meet Christ.

Where I Belong

“They are not of the world,

even as I am not of it.”

John 17:16, NIV

If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy,

the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.

~C. S. Lewis~
