Who Do You Have?

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.

— Jim Elliot

Life with Pleasure is too silly to be of colossal importance.

Life with God is too important to be of colossal silliness.

When you stop breathing,

When your body fails you,

When Death has swept you away,

the question at hand wouldn’t be

Where will you go? or What next?

In the end, every human being would have to face the reality of life beyond Earth.

In the end, there will be no room for reasons or excuses.

In the end, the condition of Life will be measured by the absence or presence of a Person.

It is by these truths that I ask all of us the Question.

Who do you have with you?

Grace Wins, Hands Down

Even at the face of oppression and death,

Christ still made every effort to say,

“Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.”

A Gruesome Enjoyment

“No evil dooms us hopelessly except the evil we love, and desire to continue in, and make no effort to escape from.”

― George Eliot

Enjoying sin escorts oneself to death.

death and life

Death is certain and uncertain. It will surely happen yet we will never know when —   Live the life God has given you. Love the people God has blessed you.

How Strong Is Your Bridge?

You are on one side of a chasm with Heaven on the other.

In your life, you have assembled a bridge to cross the great fissure. It may be made of money from businesses and investments, fame from successes and victories, pride from “righteousness” and acts of kindness, or genuine faith in Jesus from the brokenness of the soul and hopelessness of life.

Only one is strong enough to bring you across. You only have one shot at this.

How strong is your bridge?
